Will a Home Elevator Fit My Home?
Most people asking about a home lift are asking about a home that already exists. Floors are laid, walls are up, and the thought of excavating a pit or adding a structure on the terrace is what stops the conversation. The SL Series was designed around that problem.
150 mm Pit
A conventional lift wants a pit about a metre deep. This one works with 150 mm, which in most homes means no excavation at all. A pitless configuration is available where even that is not possible.
No Machine Room
The gearless machine sits inside the shaft itself. No machine room, no headroom structure on the terrace, nothing that changes the outline of your home from the street.
Single-Phase Power
230 V single-phase, the same supply as your air conditioner. No three-phase sanction, no transformer, no waiting on the DISCOM. Three-phase works too if you already have it.
Indoors or Outdoors
Inside the stairwell void, in a corner of the hall, or outside on an MS structure against a rear wall. Where there is no shaft, we build one in steel and glass rather than concrete.

The smallest sensible cabins, and what most villas and duplexes choose. A 3-person cabin gives enough room for a person with a walker, or a grandparent travelling with a child.

More than three floors above ground?
The SL Series stops at four stops. Beyond that we would fit the VL Series: still gearless, still machine-room-less. We would rather tell you that now than at the survey.
What It Costs
What Does a Home Lift Cost?
There is no single number, and anyone quoting one on a web page will revise it after the survey. But there is no reason to keep you in the dark either. Six things decide what you pay.
Number of Stops
G+1 costs less than G+3. Each stop adds a landing door, a guide rail run and wiring.
Capacity
2, 3 or 4 persons. A 272 kg cabin needs a larger shaft than a 2-person one, so the structure grows with it.
The Shaft
Using your existing stairwell void is the cheapest route. An MS structure with glass, built outside, costs more.
Doors
MS panel doors are the economical option. Automatic glass doors cost more and change how the lift reads from the landing.
Cabin Finish
Painted MS at the base, stainless steel above it, glass and custom lighting at the top of the range.
Running Cost
Roughly 30% less power than a conventional traction system, on single-phase supply. A small addition to the monthly bill, not a new one.
The honest version
For most independent homes in Hyderabad and Bangalore, a 2 to 3 person SL Series serving two or three floors sits in a predictable band. We will tell you that band on the phone in five minutes, before anyone visits.
Is hydraulic cheaper?
Hydraulic home lifts work, but need an oil tank and pump housed near the shaft and give a slower ride. The SL Series is gearless traction with the machine inside the shaft: quieter, no oil to change, and nothing to house outside. If hydraulic genuinely suits your site better, we will say so at the survey.

A power cut should not be an emergency
When the supply drops, the Automatic Rescue Device moves the cabin to the nearest floor under its own battery power and opens the doors. Nobody sits inside waiting for the generator to pick up.

A 2-person lift serving two floors in an existing stairwell is the most economical configuration. Less than most people expect. The SL Series needs 150 mm below floor level and 2800 mm of overhead, with no pit excavation and no machine room. In most independent homes the existing stairwell void is enough. Where it is not, we build a steel and glass shaft outside against a wall.
Yes, and that is what the SL Series was designed for. Because the machine sits inside the shaft and the pit is 150 mm, there is usually no structural work: no digging, no new concrete shaft, no machine room on the terrace.
No. It runs on 230 V single-phase, the same supply that powers your air conditioner. Three-phase works too if you already have it.
